RevUp US Vote Webinar Announcement

Absentee and Accessible Ballot Webinar with REV UP!

There’s a key question that voters with disabilities should address right now in advance of the November 8th election: What is the most convenient way to securely cast a ballot given one’s personal circumstance?

Join us on Monday, October 24th at 1:00 PM ET.
REV UP! will host a US Vote Absentee Ballot Request Webinar

to get ballots in the hands of voters for the upcoming election.

When weighing whether to vote in person, it’s crucial to consider that while the full and equal opportunity to vote is protected by federal law in principle, in practice:

Given these disappointing challenges, voters with disabilities may opt to vote from the comfort of home with mail-in or absentee ballots.

U.S. Vote Foundation (US Vote) is here to help make this voting process quick, easy, and safe.

  • US Vote is teaming up with the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) to assist voters applying for absentee ballots to vote in the November 8th election.

  •  US Vote is proud to partner with the AAPD’s REV UP! Campaign to motivate citizens to “Register, Educate, Vote - Use Your Power” in the 2022 election.

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 24th at 1:00 PM ET to join the REV UP!

This brief and informative webinar will illuminate options and guide voters to their preferred pathway to vote.

  • Voters will learn how to use US Vote’s tool to request an absentee or mail-in ballot regardless of where they live. This option could be the smoothest method for voters with mobility disabilities to avoid physical obstacles at polling locations.

  •  Voters will discover how to set up a Voter Account
    •  to make filling out forms faster and easier in the future; and
    •  to receive handy email alerts so voters never miss an election deadline.

  •  Voters will dive deeper into US Vote’s new Resources for Voters with Disabilities. This resource will:
    •  help voters weigh other accessible voting options; and
    •  empower voters with knowledge about their state’s rules for assistance in voting.

  • The US Vote Voter Help Desk agents will be on hand to answer individual questions on the call or through email.

Getting questions answered and making a plan to vote through our webinar will greatly increase citizens' likelihood of voting in this election. Our goal is to shrink the six percent turnout gap endured by voters with disabilities.

US Vote and REV UP! will empower voters with information and choices. In less than a half hour, voters will become equipped to exercise their most fundamental right to participate in our democracy.
