Apply on-line to register to vote and/or to request an absentee ballot at https://myvote.wi.gov or apply at the Town Hall. Complete the questions and mail your application along with a copy of your proof of residence (where you live) to the Clerk listed. Proof of residence can be a copy of your driver’s license if you address is correct, or a Utility bill, see website for entire list. You must have your Wisconsin ID (driver’s license) and also a proof of residence, if your Shelby address is not on your Wisconsin ID, to register on Election Day. Wisconsin law requires you to live at your current address 28 days consecutive prior to the election. Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. Absentee Voting: You may experience longer lines to absentee than on Election day. In person absentee voting will be available at the Town Hall from 8am-4pm Monday 10/17/16 - Thursday 11/3, and on Friday, 11/4 from 8am-5pm only. If you need a ballot mailed to you, request this ASAP and return it promptly. Allow for mailing times of up to 10 working days. All ballots MUST be received BY Election day in November. We will continue to update the Town website if any Election laws change the above process or timelines. Please have your ID to vote!
