Further instructions
Nevada has same-day registration and updates of existing registration. You may register and vote or immediately update your existing registration and vote at any early voting site or Election Day Vote Center, but you must have an unexpired NV DMV driver's license, state ID card, or DMV Interim Document, or Tribal ID (per NRS 232.006) with your current physical residential address. Starting on the 13th day before Election Day and continuing up to and including Election Day, online same-day registration and updates of existing registration will be available on the Nevada Secretary of State's website. Same-day registration and updates require that YOU MUST VOTE IN-PERSON, NOT BY MAIL. Nevada has all-mail ballot elections. All voters who are registered to vote no later than 14 days before Election Day will receive a mail ballot whether or not they requested one, unless they opt-out. To opt out, you must submit a written or online "Mail Ballot Preference Form” to request that you not receive a mail ballot. The Nevada Secretary of State will provide the online option. The Election Department must receive all opt-out requests no later than 60 days before Election Day. You may vote in person instead on a voting machine at any one of the many convenient early voting sites or Election Day vote centers, even if you received a mail ballot. No matter where you live or what your precinct is, you may vote at Clark County voting site you choose. An early voting schedule and any Election Day vote center listing will be in your mail ballot packet, in your sample ballot, and online at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/vote. If you have your mail ballot with you when you vote in-person, you must surrender it at the voting site. If you do have your mail ballot with you and you had received it, you must sign an affirmation not that you are not voting twice in the same election.
