Registration
You can register to vote or update your registration information:
- online
- by mail
- in person at your elections office
- when applying for/renewing a Hawaii Driver License or State ID (automatic unless you decline)
If you miss the deadline to register (up to 10 days before an election), late registration is available at early walk in voting locations.
Election Day Voting
Polling places are open from 7am to 7pm on Election Day.

Early Voting
Voter service centers will be open 10 business days prior to each election. Any registered voter may walk-in to any early voting location in their county to cast their vote before Election Day. Exact times and locations are available here
Absentee Voting
Hawaii votes by mail. All voters will automatically receive their ballot in the mail 18 days prior to each election. Voters with disabilities who cannot read standard print may now request an electronic ballot to be permanently emailed every election.
